How Systemic Controls in the EU Build the Value of European Food

In the international food trade, the key asset is not just price, but above all, predictability and safety. The European Union has developed one of the most advanced surveillance systems in the world, which for business partners means one thing: the minimisation of commercial risk.

Standards that Protect the Product

Strict EU legal requirements force producers and farmers to apply procedures that directly translate into the commercial quality of the goods. Cooperation with EU suppliers ensures the maintenance of parameters such as:

Raw Material Purity: Thanks to rigorous standards regarding feed and the early detection of plant pests, the final product is free from undesirable contaminants.

Biological Stability: Continuous monitoring of animal health and the reduction of unnecessary chemical additives ensure that European meat and fruit retain their natural flavour values and longer freshness¹.

Logistical Safety: Precise guidelines regarding hygiene in transport protect the supply chain from quality losses at key distribution stages.

Control as a Verification Tool

The European agricultural model is based on transparency. Farmers are obliged to use sustainable techniques that protect natural resources and animal welfare². This approach is regularly verified by a system of unannounced inspections³. For the importer and distributor, this means that a quality certificate is not merely a declaration, but the result of real, restrictive supervision to which farms are subjected every day.

Competitive Advantage in Your Portfolio

Introducing food from the EU into your offer is a strategic choice. The multi-stage control system makes the supplier verification process much simpler, and the risk of complaints is minimised. By choosing products from the EU, you offer your customers a standard that combines modern technology with full product responsibility!

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The “Taste Europe!” program, a continuation of long-standing promotional activities, focuses on promoting high-quality European food products such as beef and pork (fresh, chilled, frozen) as well as apples and their products in the markets of Japan, Vietnam, and Singapore. Strategic promotional efforts, including effective business meetings and efficient communication, highlight the unique features of European food — its distinctive taste, quality, and favorable climatic and cultivation conditions, while also emphasizing a commitment to animal welfare.

By enhancing the reputation of the European brand, we underscore the commitment of EU producers to employing advanced breeding and production methods. These practices comply with international standards such as HACCP, GMP, GHP, GAP, ISO, which ensure the safety and high quality of the products offered. The project aims not only to promote European food but also to establish long-term commercial relationships, increasing awareness of European production standards. The program is part of a long-term strategy to strengthen the global position of European food, opening up new opportunities for EU producers.
